About the 4SCO

The Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra (4SCO) brings music with roots to the WNC region,  presenting programs each winter, spring, summer, and fall.

We present inspiring music in intimate settings, but also to raise funds and awareness in support of causes and organizations in need in our community.

The 4SCO grew out of the Hendersonville Community Orchestra, which was founded in 2009 by conductor Robert Hudson, and the Jubilee Summer Orchestra, founded by Earl Hefley in Asheville in the early 1990’s.

The 4SCO name reflects the natural beauty of our mountain home, and the breadth of age and experience found among our professional, amateur, and student musicians.

In addition, we aspire to create diverse and exciting concert programming featuring composers from a broad spectrum of historical, geographic, ethnic, and gender backgrounds, including symphonic masterpieces, music for stage and film, and traditional and contemporary folk and popular music.
